On the Easel
When Joe begins a painting, he draws on a plethora of research information including his
own photo reference, an extensive library and input from many professional historians and
re-enactors he has met over the years. We would like to share some of the highlights of our
journeys in pursuit of photo reference and historical data. Along the way, we have met some fascinating characters who are passionate about the history they relive in a world far apart from where their hearts reside. We hope you’ll find these snippets interesting as you get a peek at
