Set against the Tetons outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, two mountain men make their way along the Snake River. It is September and the trapping season has arrived. There must be other members of their expedition camped nearby because they travel without a single pack animal.
This painting was commissioned by the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce in 2010. I was the featured artist for the 2010 Fall Arts Festival and this image appeared on most everything the Chamber published that year promoting the festival. It was a great honor and will always be special to me.
